My Top 100 Favourite Music Videos: #43

#43: "Bitter Sweet Symphony" - The Verve
Release Date: 1997
Director: Walter Stern
Fun Fact: The song pays homage to "Unfinished Symphony" by Massive Attack, by using its single continuous shot method!
This is the second video on the list that has been directed by Walter Stern, the other was "Firestarter" by The Prodigy.

This video is just so damn good. Once again it's an example of a simple idea being used to convey a message in a powerful way. The message of the video is simply to keep going, be strong, and tackle life head on, or at least that's how I see the message. Richard Ashcroft just continues down this very long road, bumping into anyone that obstructs his path, knocking some people clean over onto the ground. He ignores everyone and everyone, and even climbs over a car just to keep going forward. It's just an awesome video that has won any awards, and justifiably so.

Here's the video for your enjoyment!
